It was a little past lunch but there weren't people around - which I liked. It is also notable that the place looked really Indian. Even the television show and the background music were Indian -which I also liked.
My friend and I ordered chicken biryani and egg curry after the waitress assured us that the serving is good for sharing. To our disappointment, the food was obviously made for a single person only, so we had to order extra rice each.
This is not for sharing! |
The chicken biryani was a bit dry, unlike the plain rice which was normal (read as not dry)
Egg curry |
Lassi |
The curry and lassi tasted okay, but the consistency of both the curry and lassi felt runny, like it could use more creamer or something. My friend thinks that the food were not flavorful at all, that they were just spicy. I kind of agree to some extent.
Nonetheless, all the dishes felt like it was home-cooked, like it was really prepared for us, right then and there - just as the Swagat website claims it does.
Overall, I think I'll go back (alone). This is the kind of place wherein I'll eat by myself, but I won't recommend it to friends.
Quick question - is this the one in Rada?
