Do You Make a Catastrophe Over Everything?

Catastrophizing is expecting the worst to happen when faced with a problem. It is an irrational thought wherein you make a catastrophe out of the current or future situation. Here I discuss why we do it and what we can do to address it. Oftentimes expecting the worst does not prepare you for the worst. Expecting the worst thing to happen, invites the worst to happen.

I forgot to include in the video. Another reason we engage in catastrophizing is because we think it motivates us. We use fear of the worst to motivate us, but this is actually not a sustainable form of motivation, and is counterproductive and can make us demotivated if we believe that the worst is bound to happen anyway - so why bother.
